Talk:List of developers
From Libregamewiki
Should it be split into developers and development companies/teams? I think it should to later have less work.--Qubodup 03:02, 24 August 2007 (CEST)
- Hmm....yes--Kiba 04:36, 25 August 2007 (CEST)

[edit] Developer, but artist?
Is this a list of programmers or of people that contributed to games? I think the latter is correct, categorization can be done by categories and later new (sub)lists can be created, but how to name this list, developer means software developer, "developers and artists" maybe? what about designers than? .. hmm we'll have to think about it. --Qubodup 04:46, 27 August 2007 (CEST)
[edit] Geo-Split
Can we have it geographically split up so that it becomes easier to follow regional development?
- No, but it would be nice to have a category for each country (like: USA developers, Russian developers, Korean developers.) then one could click on the Category name and be directed to a list of all who have the same Category tag in the article. Unfortunately it is hard to find out the nationality of a developer, maybe we could rather divide by region (which is easier)!
[edit] Question
There is a link to a developer from one of the entries here(can't remember which ATM) whose name is Juha Lindström. But when I went to add him to the list there is already one that is strikingly similar, Juha LindstrĂśm, what do you guys think? --RB0 21:28, 14 October 2007(GMT)
- I don't know. I am not a lingustic expert. Investigate if they're the same person, otherwise notes the ambiguity if you don't know if they're not the same person or is.--Kiba 23:52, 14 October 2007 (CEST)
- I'm pretty sure that they are hte same, and someone just used different encoding for the symbols, but I have been unable to find reference to either, so... --RB0 01:15, 28 October 2007 (CEST)
- I am even more sure; changed to “ö”, since it is apparently a Swedish or similar name in a Unicode encoding rendered in an 8-bit encoding. --AVRS 13:40, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] More than just the names
I have noticed that a lot of the entries on the list have more information after there names, like nicknames, games developed, etc. Should we allow this(since the nicks and development stuff is already in the page for the developer)? --RB0 01:15, 28 October 2007 (CEST)
