How does StrategyWiki relate to Free games? --Qubodup 09:26, 29 August 2007 (CEST)

How does it not? I was thinking, maybe there could even be a template, so for each game which has a guide there, there could be a link "StrategyWiki has a guide for this game". --Allefant 21:33, 29 August 2007 (CEST)
Dude, I think the *nice* (i mean stupid) banner at the top of every page is enough advertisement in this wiki ^^ --Qubodup 22:43, 29 August 2007 (CEST)
PS: It's meant this way: everything in this wiki has to be exclusively related to Free/libre, open source games, or at least to a high degree. StrategyWiki is not specialized on what I just said. --Qubodup 22:44, 29 August 2007 (CEST)
I guess you guys don't really like the ads. (I still need to get to qubodup's code to fix his problem). Ok, it seem that the reason to delete this article is reasonable. Allefant, if you have any objection, please let me know before the day August 30, 2007 end. Once August 30, 2007 end and there is no objection, I will pressing the delete button like it wasn't a nuclear strike button.--Kiba 22:57, 29 August 2007 (CEST)
No, I meant not an ads banner, but like on Wikipedia, they often say "Wikiquote has an article on this" "Wikibooks has a book on this".. so here, we could have things like "Wikipedia has an article on this game", or "Strageywiki has a guide on this game". It would just be text *within* the article. An article is not needed here for that I guess, but if someone playing a free game wants a guide for it, might be nice to know where to look. --Allefant 19:40, 30 August 2007 (CEST)
Oh, and yes, the ads are very annoying ;; --Allefant 19:41, 30 August 2007 (CEST)
I didn't mean you were talking about a banner, but StrategyWiki is not related to free games specificaly and has no place here.. --Qubodup 20:02, 30 August 2007 (CEST)
Well, GPL also is not related to free games specifically. In fact, GPL is much less related to free games than StrategyWiki. --Allefant 00:53, 31 August 2007 (CEST)
Please don't try to shift subject. If you want to truly delete GNU General Public License, list it in the Libregamewiki:pages to be deleted and talk about deleting it on the talk page.--Kiba 01:10, 31 August 2007 (CEST)
I'm not shifting subject, I was just saying that Qubodup's argument cannot hold - we are not at Wikipedia here, so I may use WP:OTHER, I hope :) Seriously, if we only want articles about games, then this one should go (as well as GPL and the others which are not). But if we also want articles about things related to free games, then there's quite a few websites (besides StrategyWiki) which I think should be mentioned, like e.g. also greatgamesexperiment.com. I don't really know about this one anyway, just stumbled upon it, and as they would allow writing a guide for each free game there, it seemed like the perfect site to mention here, I'm not really sure why you even consider deleting it (?) --Allefant 02:49, 31 August 2007 (CEST)
The article is deleted. The article in question is about all sort of games, most of them are probably about proprietary games. They also probably mostly have nothing to do with Free games. A license that make Free games actually Free games are a defining characteristic of Free games.--Kiba 22:33, 31 August 2007 (CEST)
